Special One Day Course: Thursday 3rd January. 10am -3pm @ Tenby AFC. Course Cost is £8. Males and female keepers aged between 8 and 16 are welcome.

Information for Summer Goalkeeper Training 2009 Course

A goalkeeper training programme will be run at the Tenby AFC ground, the Clicketts on four Tuesday evenings during June, 2009.

Programme

Sessions on basic skills, agility balance coordination and speed (ABCs), working with defenders, and a shot stopping competition to finish.

Age Range

Goalkeepers male and female aged 8-16 years of any standard and ability.

Playing facilities

Training on outdoor, grass surface in all weather conditions.

Equipment Needed

Goalkeeping equipment, gloves, boots, jersey, shinguards, stockings,shorts tracksuit bottoms, boots and trainers to suit conditions. Warm top or tracksuit to protect against the cold, and a water bottle with a soft drink to avoid dehydration.

Coaching staff

The course will be supervised by Bernard Steer, FA Level 2 goalkeeper coach and other CRB checked staff where required.

Cost

There will be a charge of £2 for the hour session.

Sessions on 2nd, 9th, 16th and 30th June, 2009 from 6.00-7.30 p.m.
